Sunshine Beach – Noosa

by on Jul.04, 2011, under 7D Movies, Astronomy, Australia, Beaches, Oceans, Outdoors!, Timelapse

Continuing the timelapse learning meander…The passing of a day…24hrs in a minute and 24 seconds.

Not much happens? But then what has happened in the world in that time? Perhaps a huge amount, perhaps nothing significant in the overall picture of mans history. Either way I like the simplicity of it a little…

Still trying to work out what settings to use for stars, for sunrise, for storms…now I just need to find a view that offers more change than just the clouds…

Noosa chilling…

by on Jun.30, 2011, under Australia, Beaches, Oceans, Outdoors!, Timelapse, Walks

Swell Time 1st May

by on Apr.30, 2011, under Australia, Oceans, Photography, Surf, Sydney

The winter swell has rolled in the last few days.

There were some solid 5ft sets today – not massive but certainly the biggest I have gone out in with the camera.

Still hating the lack of manual control over many of the settings on my u/w camera housing but learned a lot about shooting in such powerful water today.

1 hold down and a couple of near decapitations by surf boards but overall an epic morning in the water.

Supposed to be 5-7ft tomorrow…
