So its been a year since I started this blog and I’ve never thought of it as a place where more than a few friends and family visit and leave comments on…
However, there is a function that lets me see the analytics for the site by month/day etc and I always find it a pretty weird read…the country list in particular never fails to surprise me.
The first two countries are pretty likely but who do I know in Spain? Is it all just bots and spammers, or are there really over hundred visits from the Chinese? Anyone actually from France out there? “European country?” Russia? Egypt??
Feel free to say hello!?
I guess the internet is a pretty random place…

“Biogas” Car – The answer to the energy crisis?
by LSP on Aug.05, 2010, under Green motoring, Tech
Well perhaps not, but the idea of running a car on human waste seems a fitting one these days…
“The Bio-Bug was launched on Thursday by Wessex Water, which is generating methane from human waste at a sewage treatment works near Bristol.
The company claims the prototype is able to cover 10,000 miles annually on the waste from 70 households.”

Brain Farm
by LSP on Jun.04, 2010, under ART!, Film Making, Tech
Brain Farm are producing some of the best HD films I’ve seen.
Some of their toys are amazing and the added ability of having effectively an endless dolly (using heli, truck, buggy, sled) gives all their work such a unique feel…

The Shaun White effect…
by LSP on Feb.19, 2010, under Tech
It took me a little while to work it out but I think Shaun White has made my site stats go mad…
Normally I get anything from 50-100 hits a day.
A few days ago things started spiking a bit…
Google seems to like my photos as this has happened a few times before but my Shaun White double cork images from the NZ Open feature really high in any search…
Avatar in 3D
by LSP on Feb.14, 2010, under ART!, Animation, Tech
I know I’m a little late on this as it is now the highest grossing film of all time by a long way, but finally got round to seeing Avatar.
I took Flo to the Imax in Sydney to see it in 3D (biggest Imax screen in the world) and we were both pretty blown away by it.
The size of the screen plus the slightly ridiculous 3D glasses left us a bit spun out at times, but after hearing all the hype from people I was preparing to be disappointed. I wasnt.
If you havent seen this film you need to, partly because its a David Vs Goliath film and we all love the underdog, and partly because it has now set a pretty significant bench mark for the future of cinema… There is also gonna be a sequel apparently.
On the way through Darling Harbour to the IMAX we passed a pretty odd sight: An English man with a strapped on microphone on a BMX suspended 20ft up in the air telling everyone how he was going to juggle with fire…random.
We also stopped by to see the Year of the Tiger exhibit at Customs house.
Brighton Beach (the Sydney version)
Here is the trailer, just in case you need a reason to go see the movie.

Interesting concept… Anyone in the US? I’d like to know what this is like when you actually play around with it…
