Hayaku: A Time Lapse Journey Through Japan – Brad Kremer

by LSP on Jul.29, 2010, under 5D films, Documentaries, Outdoors!, Travel, Urban

Brad Kremer is better known for shooting snowboard movies but he obviously got the timelapse bug a few years back too.

I first saw his timelapsing here.

This is the best one I have seen yet…really inspiring.

Inside Out:Tailgate Alaska

by LSP on Jun.09, 2010, under 7D Movies, Snow, Travel

Some early season dumps in Australia and the impending southern winter coupled with the news today that we may not be able to stay here beyond the end of the year have left me thinking about snow a lot recently…

Round up vid from my mate Brians trip to Alaska…yes I want to go next year!

Other posts from the trip here.

10000kms

by LSP on May.21, 2010, under Sydney, Travel

The speedo on my bike has passed 10000kms this week…
That is the equivalent of a quarter of the way round the earth since January 15th…on a scooter limited to 90kph.
And I havent really even been outside Sydney yet…

Queenstown Jet Boating

by LSP on Apr.17, 2010, under Outdoors!, Rivers..., Travel

Dug out some of the unedited footage from my little digicam of our jet boating trip in Queenstown for Flo’s birthday last year and put together a quick edit.

No colour or exposure correction but got a new version of Final Cut Pro so need to get some practice as I plan to pick up a 7d soon.

Some of the footage is pretty shaky (especially the first few shots!) but then we were doing a lot of bouncing around and 360 spins so always needed at least one hand to avoid getting spat out the side of the boat (no seat belts!)…

Brian in Alaska

by LSP on Apr.05, 2010, under Snow, Travel

Following my old friend Brians blog from Alaska

The legendary King of the hill contest just went down for the first time in 10 years…T Rice won the Mens as well as a $1000 bet on the 6th place arm wrestle playoff, and spent the lot on an open bar at the awards ceremony…nice.

Blotto winter 2009 2010

by LSP on Mar.11, 2010, under Snow, Travel

Surfing is great but so far just hasnt done it for me in a way that hopefully snowboarding always will…

So been heading to Blotto’s site to keep up with his antics over the winter. He doesnt post action photos (obviously since thats how he makes a living) but it is still fun to read his accounts of missions and check out his lifestyle images.

Right now he is currently in one of the places I would most like to visit – Japan

Or you can check out the posts from the whole winter here.

Probably too many “out the plane window” shots recently but damn the guy covers some miles….

House Trucks

by LSP on Mar.01, 2010, under Roadtripping..., TRUCKS, Travel

House Trucks – One way forward…

They allow you to set up home anywhere your wheels can get you.

I like the freedom. Just make sure its a good spot before the oil runs out…

This is one my friend built in NZ a few years ago from an old short wheel base truck.

This is his new project…you can follow the build here and see more photos of the old build. Its pretty snug inside.

The new one is pretty ambitious but I think it will be epic once its done.

This is another one that a different friend saw in NZ…looks pretty permanent but I guess once you have found your spot why would you need to move…

Loads more slightly ridiculous looking bastardized trucks here
